YOUTH COUNSELING
DO YOU FEEL REJECTED?
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid".(John 14: 27)
Dear friend, you may be rejected by this world, even you may be forsaken by your dear ones. You may feel that you have no hope. But friend there is hope for you. That is Jesus. He said, “I will never leave you, nor forsake you”. It is literally true my friend. Nothing can separate us from the love of God. “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?... neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord". (Romans 8: 35-37) He loves you even in the worst situation of your life. Bible says that, “God is love".(1 John 4: 16)
Jesus loves you
If anybody asks me who loves you most? Undoubtedly I say it is Jesus. He died for me on the cross. Bible says, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends". (John 15: 13)
Jesus understands you
“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin". (Hebrews 4: 15)
Jesus forgives you
Bible says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". (1 John 1: 9) Yes my friend, He forgives you and treats as if you never committed sin.
Jesus gives you eternal life
He doesn’t want you to live a defeated life. But "He cares for you".(1 Peter 5: 7) He prepared an everlasting life for you; so accept Jesus as your Lord and enjoy the fellowship with Him. A-men
TEMPTATIONS
“Young men..., ye have overcome the wicked one".(1 John 2:14)
Temptations are sure to come. Why do temptations come? They come so as to strengthen our faith & to strengthen our spiritual life. But yielding to temptations is sin. If you want to overcome temptations...
Watch and Pray
Jesus said, "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptations". (Matthew 26: 41) When you watch and pray, you can hear the cautions of Holy Spirit and you can be a step ahead of enemy and can overcome temptations.
Fear God
See the life of Joseph, when he was tempted he said "How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?" (Gen 39: 9) How could he say that? because he feared God. He put God always before His eyes.
Flee from Sin
After that when his master's wife caught him, what did Joseph do? "He left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside". (Genesis 39: 12) He ran away from sin. Paul said to young Timothy, My son, "Flee also youthful lusts". (2 Timothy 2: 22) When you do it, you can be an over comer. Bible says, "young men..., you have overcome the wicked one". (1 John 2: 14) It also says, "You are strong in Him".
Be an overcomer
Jesus knows your weaknesses. He can help you to overcome. He understands you, because He went through the same type of situations what you are going now. "He has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin". (Hebrews 4: 15) As He overcame, He can make you an over comer. A-men.
Bible says, "Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him". (James 1: 12)
Jesus promised, "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne". (Revelation 3: 21) So be an over comer and enjoy God's rewards. May God enable you to overcome. A-men
SALVATION
Step-1: God loves you and wants you to enjoy the life eternal in abundance.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life". (John 3: 16) Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly". (John 10: 10) Then what is the problem?
Step-2: Man is sinful and separated from God.
Bible says that, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God".(Romans 3: 23) Down the ages people have been trying by their own means to reach God. But our own righteousness cannot lead us to God. Then what is the way?
Step-3: Jesus Christ is the only way to reach God.
To fill that gap, Jesus died on the cross in our place. “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us". (Romans 5: 8) He not only died but also conquered death and rose again. “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that
He was buried, and that He rose again the third day". (1 Corinth 15: 3-6) Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me". (John 14: 6) Then what to do?
Step-4: Admit that you are a sinner and accept Jesus as your Lord.
In fact, Jesus is knocking the door of your heart. He said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me". (Revelation 3: 20) and it is written, “…as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name". (John 1: 12) “if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved". (Romans 10: 9). Then how to do it?
Step-5: Pray to receive Jesus into your life.
Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner, and I believe that you are my God. You came into this world for me. You died for me on the cross to take away my sins. I believe that you rose from the dead. I confess with my mouth that you are Lord, and I accept you as my Savior. I invite you into my heart. Come and change my life. Grant me salvation and make me a new creature in you. Thank You
CHRISTIAN YOUTH LOVE
Love - the most fascinating topic among youth. Now a days, Christian youth is questioning, I fell in love, is it correct? I want to go for love marriage, is it biblical? Let me tell you my friend God is love. Don't be mistaken, love is not God, but God is love. Bible says God's love (Agape, in Greek language) is Holy.
Your love should be holy and Biblical.
Is it right that a Christian loves? Yes, no problem, but you need to check some important points if you feel you are in love. As we discussed already, being a Christian your love should be like God's, i.e. Holy. Your love should not be based on the worldly attractions, or it should not be with selfish motives or fleshly desires.
You should marry a "believer".
Bible says, "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers... what fellowship can light have with darkness? "
(2 Corinthians 6: 14) So if you love and marry somebody, he/she should be a believer. They should be saved. Don't think that you can bring them to Jesus, after marriage. It is not at all biblical.
These 2 points are just the most primary. After your love passes these two steps, then the important step begins. The Will of God - for your life.
My dear friend you have to ask God for His Will regarding that boy or girl. You have to follow His plan for your life. If He says 'Yes' to your request, then you can proceed your love. But be careful with your priorities and preferences. God commands that, "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength". (Mark 12: 30) So do not dare to neglect God, and also... be Holy. "Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh". (Galatians 5: 16) Be faithful to God till your marriage and even till the end. May God bless you. Amen.
WILL OF GOD
"...be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God". (Romans 12: 2) There is no greater invention than finding the will of God for your life. Because you are here on this earth, not on your own, but by God. He made you for a purpose. When you find it and follow, you will be the most blessed person on the earth.
Many times we arrive at cross roads in the journey of our lives, like what job to do? Whom to marry? What to do? Where to go? When to do? How to do? This kind of questions give us lot of strain. But leaving everything in to the hands of the all-wise God and fulfilling His will brings you eternal peace.
Never spoil your life by following your own will. Always remember that, God has a noble plans for your life. You are so excellent in the sight of God. He says, "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts". (Isaiah: 55: 9)
How to ascertain the Will of God?
To find the will of God, first of all you have to be in neutral condition regarding your choices. That is you should not like... or dislike... the thing that you are praying for, but you should be in a condition that, you should be able to obey whatever God says.
If you don't get answer quickly from God, don't stop praying, but understand that He is telling you to wait, for His time. In His time He makes all things beautiful my friend. Remember that, your strength comes from waiting on God. Then, by what means God reveals His will to us?
How God speaks?
1.Holy Bible: The ultimate source to find the will of God is the Holy Bible. It is the mind of God.
When you study the Word of God daily, you will surely find the solution to all your prayers and questions.
2.Circumstances: Every situation that you are facing is not a coincidence. But God is allowing everything for a purpose. By observing the circumstances you can understand what God is trying to teach you.
3.Fellow Believers: God can reveal His will to you, by the Spirit-filled men of God and the people those who pray for you. So never neglect the fellowship. Bible says, "Let us not give up meeting together..." (Hebrews 10: 25)
4.Conscience: (Holy Spirit who is in you): My dear, remember that your Creator is in you. He knows your past, present and future. He has the perfect plan for your life. So always be ready to listen to His still and small voice and obey implicitly.
But friend, the Spirit of God dwells in you only after you accept Jesus as your Lord. If you are not yet born again, this is the very right time for you. Repent and confess your sins before God. Accept Jesus as your Lord, and invite Him into your heart. If you do it, you will be saved and will become the temple.
